Hey guys,
I'm currently in the market for a new 5.1/7.1 home theater setup. I have narrowed down the receiver to an Onkyo TX-SR806 however I'm not sure of what speakers to go along with it.
I currently have a set of Paradigm 5se MkII which I would like to keep, yes I'm nostalgic but the sound quality is great for such an old timer. I also have a Sony A/V and SW but I'm not going to keep those.
I will be setting up the system with an LG 42" 1080p, PS3, Wii, XBOX360 (Non HDMI) and latest DirecTV receiver (HD/DVR combo).
The room is roughly 15'x20' (see included picture below for a setup estimate).
I have been looking at the Polk Audio RM95 Home Theater Speaker System paired with the Polk Audio PSW10 SW however I'm not sure about either one of these.
My thought is that the paradigms have enough boost to feed the L+R channels then use the remaining to create the surround setting.
Can I have some feedback regarding my options?
My budget is roughly $500, however I can stretch it a little bit for a better quality product.
Thanks! e-beer
