I currently my Xbox connected to the AVR and my Panasonic Plasma, but also would like to hook up the Xbox and 27" HP Monitor I have that I use as an additional computer screen via DVI. The monitor doesn't have speakers. The reason that I do this is because I get IR on the Plasma if I play too long.
Right now, when I want to do this, I switch out the HDMI output on the AVR between the monitor and the TV. I'm trying to find a better way around this. The monitor is in the same room as the TV and I have it connected with a 40" HDMI cable.
I was looking at something like this, but I'm not sure if it would do the trick. From what I read, the cheaper HDMI Matrix devices will not work. I tried a HDMI splitter, but I did not get picture from the Xbox. Open to any suggestions.
