Hour Counter

Does anyone know how to reset the hour counter on a Marquee 9500? I had the tubes replaced a few months back, and the counter was never reset - I want to be able to track useage hours for the new tubes.

You do not want to go there. There once was a thread that stated how to reset the hours on a marquee but the poster was chastized horribly. Not to mention while in the secret menu you risk making your marquee unusable by accidently reseting some of the factory software or something.

My advice would be to take note of the hours when you replaced the tubes and print it out on a label and sitick it in the PJ somewhere for reference. You will just have to do a little simple math.

Ys, I hear you, however, I am trying to sell my Marquee 9501LC and am getting a lot of grief from prospective buyers that the hour counter was not reset - even though I have sent pictures of the pristine tubes!

I guess I just need to wait for a buyer who is not such a nudge!

Simon
Buyer sounds like a problem just waiting to happen  .

Just out of curiosity, would a recently retubed yr 2000 vintage 9500 with 22,000 total hours on the chassis be considered 'high mileage'?

Simon
No way IMO, chassis rated for 100k. I wouldn't shy away cause of hours, its all about tubes as far as I'm concerned. Any other issue can be replaced relatively cheaply and easily.

EJ
That is my view also -just wanted to sanity check it!

Simon
It is is unscrupulous in my opinion ca1ore do not give in to him :)

I hope you run into a good buyer that does not want you to reset the hours.
