Hello all, i am about to purchase a new higher end(for me) av reciver. I own a kenwood vr307 right now, and for what it is i am happy with it. I was planning to purchase a kenwood vr510, but after some reaserch, i think i am going to go with the vr5080. I wasnt too worried about the vr510, but the vr5080 is about twice the price, between $700 to $1000.

I have seen negative posts on this forum about the vr5900m dvd changer, which i had considered purchasing, now i will not. Has anyone had experince with these kenwood recivers and can give an opinon them??

I am not totally against another brand of reciver, but i havent found another that gives comparable features, for the same money.

Any thoghts would be welcome.

Thanks

Try the Onkyo 696, 797 or Denon 2802 or 3802. These, IMHO, have better features than the Kenwood. Esp the 3802, $1000. The Kenwood 5080 doesn't even exist in the same world for amplifier quality, I can't believe it can have a THX rating with the amp ratings Kenwood lists on their own site.
