I am still learning the HTPC scene but I thought power dvd could play an ISO file.


I ripped LOTR the two towers using dvd decrypter to an ISO image.


how can I play it? is this the best format for archiving dvd's so I can burn dvd's later and play them as well?

It's really easy. Get Daemon tools, it will create four virtual DVD drives on your machine, load ISO image into any of them, open in PowerDVD - bingo!

Or if you have Nero, install Nero Image drive w/2 virtual DVD drives and do the same.
