I have the firewire inputs, is there a way I can use my computer to record OTA HDTV broadcasts, with out having to purchase a STB???

I am currently testing FireBus software that will allow exactly what you want. It works well. So far it is only configured for RCA and Mits sets. I am sure once the final product is out this fall, it will most likely support Hitachi sets. Search in the HDTV Recording forum for full details and the web for Vividlogic Firebus.
