I've been reading how people can tell the fact that one channel or another is broadcasting a specific ATSC format (ie. 480p, 720p, 1080i). I've got a Mitsubishi SR-HD500 (aka. SR-HD400 or SR-HD5) STB which converts everything to 1080i on the component video outputs. Is there some magical mystery remote key combination that will let me know the ATSC format of the broadcast? I know I get grey vertical bars for 480i broadcasts, but would prefer more granularity than that.

Thanks!

I haven't found this functionality in the Mits receiver, and I have led to believe that it doesn't exist. If anyone knows otherwise, please make a post here.

It sure would be nice to actually see the 720p/1080i information provided by the STB... (or 480p in the case of Fox)
