When a decent cc is inexpensive to begin with, why would you bother. Please...someone tell me a TV brand that has speakers system.

Even if one did, I'd think there would be next to no hope of tonally matching the left and right.

Look to see if your speakers are hooked up on rca jacks. Mine are. I unplugged the offensive little b*****ds. You might want to try sending the center channel sound to them. I'd rather not have center channel sound if they don't sound good.

Not sure how your speakers sound on your tv, but mine sound like crap. I wouldn't use them for anything. The stock speakers in my car sounds better. It seems like a lost art for tv makers to put in anything akin to acceptable sound.

For $1200 you should be able to listen to the news at least.

It's a DNUTSFCC-MNSMN, (Do Not Use The Speakers For Center Channel)-(Manufacturer Non-Specific Model Number)

Yeah. Stereo information that usually doesnt belong to the centerchannel goes in to the tv-speakers.

What?

When I started building my first 5.1 system I had a rear projection TV that had "center in" on the back panel. If your TV has "center in", you can do it.

I think that surap thinks that one would just simply turn up the volume on the TV as well as the 3.1 or whatever 5.1 system is running.

I think the OP was asking if there was a way to run the center channel signal directly to the TV.

thanks for all the replies guys, i have a samsung 46' dlp and in 3d mono mode the voice comes out crystal clear and thats why i wanted to use, i used to have the OTA reciever with DVI and rca inputs, and used it that way i would just adjust the volume to my liking, but with HDMI there is no rca connection in the inputs, i think since HDMI transmits audio as well? in my setting for the reciever it only offers either PCM, DD, if i switch to PCM audio will come out of the tv speakers, but that would defeat the purpose cause then i wouldnt have DD i guess i kinda wanta to have 3.1 sourround sound! HAHA

I had a Toshiba HDTV that had a special line input option to use the internal speakers and internal amplifier for a center channel.

But it was low quality compared to the left and right speakers I tried it with.

So I used a phantom center for awhile and then found even a cheap $50 center speaker was far, far better than the TV's speakers.

If you don't have a special line input option to use the TV's speaker for a center channel (its very rare) there is no choice anyway.

ok well i guess i can scratch that idea, i know i can run the reciever in Dolby Digital stereo? and the words, or voices to come out of the speakers, but i thought stereo mode was an inferior quality mode of over DD?? or is it the same thing just stereo mode in digital sound? cause i really cant here a difference at all

Is the problem; you don't have a 5.1 speaker system and your tying to rigs something up? Someone gave you a couple of speakers or what? This doesn't make any sense at all.

Okay... I have the very same issue and I need some (a great deal of) advice!

I have just upgraded my Pioneer 49tx to the Pioneer 94xh and I have been very impressed with the changes! My TV is a 42" Vizio, and I recently added the Sony s550 as my Blu-ray player.

When I had my older stereo I could input adio from the reciver to the tv's rca inputs to enabLe my tv to be the center channel, for some reason, I cannot do this with the 94txh.

Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated!
