Ran Dnice burn in DVD when brand new on new Panny about 1.5 months ago. Ran it on/off as well during spare time....

Am running it now

Wifey watches alot of *Food Network*.

On greyscale screen, I am seeing the Food Network Logo...

How does one tell if it is IR or Burn In ?

The majority of viewing on our old PX50U in the den for the past few years has been Food Network programming and we often see IR of the Food logo on lighter screens, but it always gets washed away after watching other channels for a while. She'll leave the Food channel on for hours and hours even when she's not in there watching it. Yet it hasn't actually burned into the screen despite the abuse.

If your IR ends up not going away, then you can consider it burn in.

Years later....most networks have made them even more obnoxious (off my soapbox)
