I've just ordered Da Mat High Contrast fabric from Da-Lite and I'm wondering what kind of material is it. Can I make a pull down screen whit it I mean it'll be enough stretched ?

I have a sample of the material. It is an unsupported vinyl material. I do not think it would be a good candidate for a pull down. It looks as if it would stretch.

How about if I stick the HC DaMat to the exist pull down Da Lite Model B screen. Will it work?

Any suggestions.

How much did you pay for this (if you don't mind me asking)? Is this a big savings over getting the high contrast screen assembled?

Da-lite does not sell any pre-made screens in this fabric that are not tensioned or pull-down. I was told that this fabric is not recommended for use in a pull-down or non-tensioned screen.

I don't mind.I paid $6.50/sq.ft. That's about 70% savings regarding ready to go screens I found. Not a bad savings I think.
