I just bought an Electrohome Retro, which is just a big rear projection tv with an ECP-4100 crt projector inside. The screen is textured and seems to have a couple of stains on it, how can I clean this textured plastic screen? If I can't clean it effectively, where can I get a cheap/and/or better replacement? Are there any plastic architectual products that can be used as a screen?

Invite me over to see the GP projector. I'll take a look at it, and we should be able to come up with something other than spray 9 and steel wool.

The water and lint free cloth has had a try, as has a soft brush and mild warm soapy water. Whatever is on the screen, you can see that it is in the tiny grooves, and stubbornly attatched!

I solved my own problem, and in case anyone else has a rear projection screen with coffee, or tobacco tar, or some other noxious substance in the grooves of the screen, just use baking soda, hot water, and a soft tooth brush. It cleaned the stain, and seemed to polish the surface slightly.
