I've read of others locking their DVD to 2x or so to quiet them down. Well, after much searching, I have nothing. Can someone point me in the right direction?

WinXP

Pioneer 16x slot (105s I think)

Thanks in advance,

Pioneer has a utility that can slow down their DVD drives. I have the Pioneer 106S, a slot-loading DVD drive and have permanently set the drive to stay in "quiet mode." During DVD playback it is near-inaudible when putting you ear close to the drive. Makes me wish I bought another 106S rather than my Lite-on.

Anyway, you can get the utility direct from Pioneer's website.

Any such utility available for a Toshiba sDM1402B drive under ME? Will I still be able to fast forward and rewind in various speeds? Thanks!
