How do I save something I just watched?

I was watching something live that I wanted to save. How can I do that? I know it was recording it, since I can rewind and watch it again. I tried hitting the record button, but it stopped recording (?!?!) and started at that point. Any ideas?

It's currently not possible to save anything that is in the buffer. You could rewind the show to the beginning then record it onto a VCR or another ReplayTV. Hopefully we will get this feature in a future version of the software.

Hope this helps,

Actually you can record it to same RTV - this is an old trick. Hookup a set of RTV outputs to a set of RTV inputs then backup the buffer as far back as you want to record & then setup a manual record on the appropriate input. Of course make sure whatever was playing live you are interested in is completed since as soon as you start recording, the live feed is no longer buffered.
Thanks for the tip Moyekj!!!!! I gues it's little things like that that get "Advanced Member" under your name...

Nah, just a lot of yapping... I believe 500+ posts or so earns one that dubious title.
