From pictures I see of Da-Lite's HP screen, it consists of fine grain glass beads. If this is the case, how does one clean the screen if/when it gets dirty? (Wash cloths are out of the question because it'll wipe off the texture.)

The texture is very flat. The beaded material is embedded. I would first try using a very soft cloth..and some clean water. After that, go after thinned mild soaps, warm water, etc. The screen is very easy to clean. it is an interesting screen. We could duplicate it.. but it would cost the same! Why bother! Da-lite does an excellent job.

Be very careful as to the amount of pressure you put on the screen when cleaning. Of all things a small moth got rolled up in my Hi Power model B screen. When cleaning I inadvertently rubbed too hard against molding behind the screen leaving a permanent line on the center of the screen.

It could be that it compressed the micro beads. Careful John
