How far can you run VGA cable without signal loss or the need for a Distribution Amp? IS 50 FEET to far?

I am using one of the high quality standard Belkin vga cables at 50 ft with no problems. I think I paid about $100 dollars for it. Biggest issue is to make sure that it uses the new low loss coax inside the vga cable. Also, I am using it with a 61" RPTV. If you plan to use it with a projector, your results may not be as good.

50 feet is fine but also the limit for good coax type VGA cables. Beyond that you need to break out the VGA into seperate cables RG6 type construction.

Stay away from KVM extenders that can remote VGA, mouse, and keyboards hundreds of feet. These work OK, note OK, on a computer display but not very well on HDTV.

The net effect of cables too long is softening of the image. If you do run 75 feet and it looks OK to you, then great. There is no risk of damaging anything.
