People have commented on 3-chip dlp projectors and given great comments to units with xenon light sources. The perception of color is very important and I guess some prefer absolutely real colors and others warm and saturated colors. How much of the perceived picture quality can be attributes to the choice of light source and color filters?
I am asking since with very pure and saturated colors from rgb lasers in the future I thinks we can reach a new pq level. The upcoming first generation laser projectors might not have incredible resolution or super high contrast but provide us with fantastic colors.
Is color overlooked in your opinion? We mostly debate contrast and black level here.
