Specifically, improving the picture of an incoming 480i satellite signal from dish network and outputting it (probably via s-video)?

I use Dish Network and have a EDTV that displays 480p. The TV's internal line doubler is not top of the line. I REALLY want to reduce motion artifacts/jaggies/etc.

I'm thinking of using a dscaler on an HTPC that can also serve as a home audio server/jukebox.

I would just need a video card that had the appropriate inputs and outputs.

HOWEVER, before I do all that I wanted to hear from the experts hear on the quality of dscaler in this scenario.

Thanks.

You cannot output 480p using S-Video. You'll have to output using VGA (RGB) or VGA into a transcoder for component depending on your TV.
