I am considering buying this TV, but before I do so I would like some comments/opinions from people on this board. Please tell me what you think of this TV. BTW, this is not a HDTV.

BTW, of you had the choice, would rather get this Philips 36" Direct View 16:9 or a Pioneer 43" Rear Projection 16:9 (non HDTV)?

Click here for the Pioneer: http://www.pioneer.com.sg/products/p...oj_sdt50w1.htm

BTW, on the website it says 50", but the size is actually 43".

Between these two TVs, do you think the Philips has better picture quality?
The Phillips is considered a 34 incher in the US.

I couldn't get your link to work, btw.

You'll have better luck trying to find this kind of info on the British site www.avforums.com (moderator: we're discussing an European model here, so please don't edit the thread..)

I've had mine for nearly two years and wouldn't buy it again but unfortunately don't have the will power to go through the various problems. search the site above and you'll find lots of info - probably my posts too..

36PW9525 has only interlaced video input, internally interpolates 50Hz interlaced to 100Hz interlaced (60Hz to 120Hz) and induces terrible artefacts.

Better stay clear from this one (my first and last philips TV)
