ive heard everyone talkigna bout how the 4805 is brighter when watchign dvds than the x1, how much brighter or how many more lumens brigher ?

also i read some sites that say the contrast ratio is 2000:1 on the 405 , while others say its 2200:1 which one is correct

and exactly what is the contrast ratio

The correct contrast ratio is 2000:1.

This is measured by dividing full white brightness by full black brightness.

The X1/SP4800 will measure 200-400 Lumens when watching DVDs

The SP4805 will measure 300-600 lumens when watching DVDs.

The 50% derate is to account for initial use of an ND2 Filter to dim down to film levels, then removing it once the lamp has dimmed down.

So in other words the SP4805 is 1.5x as bright.

In reality I have seen the SP4805 is brighter than specced, while a used X1 will be less than spec. So subjectively you may even think they are 2x brighter.

so when you switch it to high power mode, what happens to the [pj

the light builb becomes brighter ?

is it as good to run it in high power mode

I guess it will still be bright enough in low power mode because of it being brigher than the x1, but image the full 750 lumens, is it that unberably loud?

also , I cant find any confirmation , but doesn the lamp on the 4805 last 3000 hours?
