How on Earth do you get X to display

on the TV? I wasn't going to use linux for my htpc, simply because I have a wmp54g linksys wireless card, but i decided to anyway and actually got the stinking card working, now I have no idea how to get X to start on the TV screen, i seriously did some searching on the net, but the only thing I keep finding is getting the tv tuner card to work, i figured I'd wait on that problem until later. Can anyone point me in a direction? FC2, nvidia 5900 and a sony 53" projection.


I have lynx loaded, but having problems downloading new drivers from nvidia, i doubt that is the only problem though, as I am sure I have to come up with some sort of display settings for X.
