I wasn't sure whether to put this here or in HTPC forum but I figured many people using the LT150 have HTPCs anyway.

I read an article about anamorphic DVD and now understand what it means.

What I still don't know is how to setup/use my LT150/ATI player software so as to maximize my viewing of anamorphic material.

do I alter the screen resolution from 1024x768 to a 16:9 resolution? do I change the ATI player setings (widescreen, letterbox, etc.?

all help is appreciated!

You can leave your projector set at 1024x768. You will get all the benefit of anamorphic sources from the software DVD player. Unlike with a standalone hardware DVD player, using a 4:3 output does not result in downconversion of anamorphic disks.

The only reason you might want to go to a 16:9 Windows resolution would be if you wanted to have a 16:9 desktop for display on a 16:9 screen.
