Hi,
This my first post on this forum and wanted to ask a couple of questions from a novice.
What is the best way to connect the following setup:
- HTPC: Motherboard can pass HD Video and HD Audio through HMDI.
- Receiver: With HDMI switching
- HD Plasma TV.
Is the best way: HTPC>>>(HDMI)>>>RECEIVER>>>(HDMI)>>>PLASMA ? Am I able to pass the HD Video from my HTPC via the Receiver to my Plasma ? Or must this is a direct link ?
Second question, is the HD Audio decoded at the HTPC, at the Receiver or can it be either assuming the above connection ? The reason why I ask is because I can save a few bucks by not having to buy a HD Audio receiver if the HTPC can already decode the audio and simply send it to the receiver for amplification.
Many thansk in advance.
