My son-in-law has an NEC LT150. I want to try my Sony progressive scan DVD player with the LT150. The Sony has component outputs.

Can anyone suggest how to do this, and what cable is needed?

Thanks.

Buy a VGA to RGBHV breakout monitor cable from any computer store. These are usually terminated with BNC connectors at the RGBHV end. Go to Radio Shack and buy three BNC to RCA adapters so you convert a male BNC to a male RCA. Then connect the green wire of the cable to the Y output on the DVD player, the blue wire to the Pb output, and the red wire to the Pr output. The LT150 will automatically recognise a 480p progressive signal delivered via component.
