They used a dead mouse.  So it was not creating a new problem.

New tweak. Changes the tonal balance by occupying additional cabinet volume. Re-tunes the port's resonant frequency according to how much of the port it's body displaces. Pic #1 is tuned to 42Hz. Pic #2 around 47Hz.. Kids, don't try this at home.

Haha...but, it does add port noise.
