I just hook up my dish 6000 unit and am wondering whats the best way to recieve the local HDTV stations.

I guess I need a antenna is there a certain type I need or any kind will work.

Ive seen the antennas that mount onto the dish itself will those work?

Don't buy an outdoor antenna with a rotor just yet. Most people find they can get everything with a much cheaper solution. Many have found a $25 Radio Shack indoor UHF antenna works beautifully. Then they go to an attic mounted antenna, maybe add a rotor and finally as a last resort buy an outdoor possibly with rotor. Try the Radio Shack and return it if it doesn't work.
