I was wondering if it is possible to get the logic 7 processing of Lexicon (harmon) into another processor. I have a processor with the logic7 processing and would like to add that alogrythm to my Proceed AVP2. Is this at all possible?

Is there a board or chip that can be replaced?

You have your Dacs which can be changed (Theta).

Thanks

Absolutely not, if they are different DSPs. The code for Logic 7 is tailored for the specific processor and hardware setup of each individual receiver. If it were the same processor, you would, most likely, have to modify the code I/O map if . That means you would have to have the source code as well as a development system. Then you would need the hardware mapping and know how to program the DSP.

To simplify things, it's like running Mac Office on a pc!

It's unlikely a board swap would work unless the orig. mfr. has a Logic 7 board.

Your best be is an outboard processor, which AFAIK, doesn't exist.
