I downloaded 3 files (zip, sit,gz) of 1.1 version from sourceforge site. I don't find a way to install the program. How do I install dvarchive on my xp windows pc so that I can connect with my replaytv 4500?

Thanks.

Install java 1.4.1 from java.sun.com and then click on the DVArchive.jar file in the zip you downloaded.

I would stay with 1.4.0

I had some significant issues with DVArchive when running with 1.4.1, and it works perfectly with 1.4.0

Crayf,

Yes, you have correct file j2se 1.4.0. I downloaded it and installed then I double clicked the dvarchive.jar file from the dvarchive zip file. The dvarchive.jar file is executes the dvarchive program.

I just downloaded a segment I manually recorded to my replay 4500 from an 8mm.

I just need to know what player will let me see the mpeg I downloaded because windows media player wouldn't do it. Help me someone?
