Can somebody please tell me how can i play matroska (.mkv) files that are burned on a dvd using vista media center.

Two ways come to mind, tho' I don't put MKVs on disks so haven't tried these.

Go to videos in MC, right click and add the DVD drive to library locations.

Associate .mkv with ehshell.exe and double click the file in explorer.

You do have to have haali etc installed.

Well, so you can play them in MC by double clicking in explorer. I gather your objection is needing a mouse to get them started playing.

Another option is to put a symbolic link to your DVD drive in your videos folder. Google 'mklink' if you want to try that.

Either...

Create a shortcut to the DVD drive in your Videos folders, or use Media Center's AutoPlay pop-up to select "View Videos."
