I have a Sharp 40" LC-40D68UT. Sometimes when there is deep bass, the speakers rattle. Dialog involving someone with a deep voice is especially annoying. Is it possible to reduce this without completely killing the sound quality?

Has anyone ever turned the sound up high enough to blow the speakers? I once had some high end stereo speakers that suddenly developed a "rattle" and when I quizzed my teenage son, I found out that he had cranked up the volume in my absence and blew one of them. Cost me a ton to get it fixed.


I'm assuming the same could happen to the smaller speakers in a TV. Other than that, I have no idea. Hopefully someone else will be able to help.

nah i know what hes talkin about. i had that problem b4 it just the way the speakers are inside the tv the bass like vibrates where the speaker is connected to the tv and it makes this really annoying sound. What you need is a foam gasket around the speakers to kill the vibration.

Nah. What he needs are external speakers that will play at the levels he demands.
