I bought a Toshiba XV645 about a month ago. I haven't used it much and only recently have I noticed some banding on the upper left hand side. Basically if you look within a meter, you can see 2 black lines until they disappear around the middle of the TV. This happens regardless of the resolution (SDTV, 720p, 1080i, 1080p).


Is this something you can RMA (and if so where?) or can there be a workaround (eg firmware update?). I reset the TV to factory defaults and the issue is still here.

Did you keep the receipt? Could be possible to return to store where you got it? Look in the user manual that came with the Tv for Toshiba customer support number? Looked on www.toshiba.com ?

So this would qualify as a defect?


Edit: According to Toshiba (after entering the serial #), it is part of a defective batch.
