Well after (well even before) I viewed this most excellent video by Ethan Winer,

I could really see that no expensive new Stereo Eq is going to give me a better sound stage or live concert feeling. Even though I like my Living sound system, let's just say my LR is VERY acoustically challenged. I'm not sure even Mr. Winer could make the room better. My wife took two seconds looking at the video- I had to show her- she rolled her eyes and smiled and said- maybe your next wife...... Anyway, it's truly an eye opener and a great educational video.

If only she could hear the difference she might change her mind. I guess I'm lucky that my wife cares more about having excellent sound quality than she objects to the look of bass traps and acoustic panels. Hey, I think they look cool!
