I am trying to figure out how to (as inexpensively, yet with as good results as possible) take a 720p signal, split it, have one of the splits go directly to a plasma screen that can handle it and the other to convert to a standard NTSC signal (so I can view both at the same time on different TV's in the same room)...I am having a hard time figuring this out...Scalers/Converters I have seen so far don't look likely as solutions....

You might try looking at one of those "RGB/VGA to S-Video" converters that computer people use.

It is a device that takes a VGA signal and converts it to NTSC S-Video. At the same time it also provides a VGA pass-through.

I believe a company called Averkey makes then as do many others.

Thanks for the input...I was not aware that the Zverkey, or any product like it would take a 720p signal and change it...I thought they were limited to typical computer display resolutions and converting them...
