Best way is to unroll it. Don't just take two ends and straighten them by pulling since that will embed in the twists caused by rolling it up. If it's short, it doesn't really matter, but longer runs that are rolled up should be unrolled which will not induce any twists in the cable. You know you did it right of the cable comes out flat. If it wants to curl and loop up on itself it means it's twisted.
