How to wear your new blue tube early

483 Views 10 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  Maxxarcade
1. Wear glasses with old auto-tint technology that tint everything greenish brown.

2. Turn up Blue drive to compensate for glasses

3. Run contrast at 68 while watching Finding Nemo.

4. Repeat on weekly or semi-weekly basis, and wonder why the blue smears first on bright objects.

Sorry for the apparent lack of humor, I'm referring to my own experience and I found it somewhat funny, so I posted it here. I need newer glasses...

Do your glasses actually become darker from the brightness of the screen? That would be pretty humorous :D

There is no excuse in my book to watch Finding Nemo weekly! There are too many good movies out there waiting to be watched. If you've seen it more then a few times, you better have kids!
Yeah, so many much better movies -- like Lilo and Stitch, stupidhead! :D

I've made this mistake. I won't repeat it. I haven't compensated my calibration because of it, but it's annoying. surprised there are other people out there that notice this problem with transitions lenses. If you haven't already seen chromatic aberations with your glasses also, don't go looking for them it'll ruin everything. :(
I am an animation fan, but I do need some new DVD's asap...

The reason Nemo gets so much play is I put it in for the THX optimiser, and end up testing the projector with the great colors.
Heres one -

Try converging on source during the nasa 3D segments... :D

Dooohhhhh

Slaps forehead - again
You gonna get a big bruise soon............

If the pain starts to get too much lean on the cover marked "Warning - this is connected to the live even when the PJ is in standby" - yep that really puts pain in perspective - DDDDDDOooooooooooooHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! slap slap slap.....
I prefer the splitter connection that even Curt (sparky) says DO NOT TOUCH...

Much better than Coffee.
Well, how about the blue Focus wire on my PJ that has a nick in the insulation? It always feels great to be laying on top of the PJ in the dark, staring into the tubes and trying to reach the focus block, and next thing you know, you get the unique sensation of 10KV and the smell of burning flesh.

Worst part is, I was more afraid of spot burning the tubes than electrocuting myself
