Is sdv annoyingly slow when you switch channels? When I use video on demand, there's a noticeable delay when I want to rewind, pause, etc.

No. You can't tell the difference. The reason for the delay in "On Demand" is that first the program needs to be loaded from the main server at the head end to the local node. However, I haven't any particular delay with On-Demand in Rewind, FF and Pause (though Rew & FF are limited to one speed).

We've had SDV in Rochester since Jan 8 (now up to 43 or so HD channels) and the delay was the first thing that I checked.

Which box are you using. some of the earlier ones are a bit slower as they

have not much memory and a slower processor. Upgrade to an HDTV box even if you dont have HD tv you can hook them to rf output and set it up

for 480 with wizard.

That being said, as the guy before said there will be some delay as the data

for your program is being served up to you specifically...
