This is kinda comparing apples and oranges... The Pan is LCD, 16:9 native and available for less than $2000. The HP is DLP, 4:3 native and more expensive at $3500-3700. Both are great machines but will appeal to different people for different reasons.
How many of the votes are from members who have actually seen both PJ's side by side? Let alone seen them both fully calibrated and under optimal conditions?
My take (no I havenâ€™t seen them side by side) is that if you are sensitive to rainbows go with a LCD (Iâ€™d generally recommend the 75u over the AE100). If rainbows donâ€™t bother you, your friends, family, or anyone else who might wander into your living room and sit down then DLP is the way to go.
