Anyone know the name of the HS-10 replacement? I seem to recall it is something like SXGR, but I do not think that is correct. I am trying to find some information on their upcoming models to see if I want to wait on purchasing my projector. Yes, I know I have to pull the trigger and no, I am not one to always wait for the next greatest thing b/c then you never buy. We just happen to be not too far away from the new model year and there are still a lot of questions surrounding HDCP so I would like to see what direction companies are headed.

Maybe you're thinking of the SXRD technology that's being discussed in the >$5k forum. That is from Sony, but is still in the early prototype stage of development. It could be years before we see production models and it could come out at $10K, no one knows. Read the thread in the >$5K forum if you're interested in it.


I don't think anyone has heard of new replacements close to production for our current crop of hot pjs.

The next-gen technology from Sony is "SXRD", but I don't think they are expected to release any PJs using it until next year at the earliest.

I doubt that many would consider an SXRD projector a replacement for the HS10. More likely a replacement for the 12HT.
