Hey folks,

Probably a silly question, but the HS10's native resolution is 1366 x 768. How does this compare/relate to HD's 720P 1080i? I'm asking because I noticed that D-VHSs players are compatible with displays with native 720p or 1080i. would the HS10 be good for these?

The HS10 accepts both 1080i and 720p.

1080i is 1920x1080i at 60 fps interlaced, slightly more resolution than the HS10. The HS10 scales this down to 1366x768 at 60fps interlaced. So, basically, there is a slight loss of resolution there.

720p is 1280 x 720 at 60fps progressive, slightly less than the resolution of the HS10. The HS10 can either scale this up to 1366x768 60fps progressive to cover the entire screen or display it natively at 1280 x 720p. The 'Full through' mode in 720p does not cover the entire screen, but there is no scaling.

I have a Samsung TS160, and usually run it at 1080i. HD looks stunning, especially HD filmed material. The Masters was gorgeous. 720p material also looks fantastic.
