The HSU system will cost me $2160 shipped. The RF 62 will cost me $1600 shipped. Will the HSU package be $600 better?

I would go for the Hsu system by virtue of the subwoofer alone. The klipsch subs in these packages are usually very bad. The Hsu sub will be many times better. The speakers are a bit different. The Klipsch speakers are voiced rather hot in treble, and have a very crisp, forward sound. The Hsu speakers sound very good, but just not as 'aggressive'. I also think the Hsu bookshelf speakers will make for better surround speakers than the Klispch bipole designs in a seven channel system.

HSU's get my vote out of the two.

Another set of speakers to loo at is the SVS Prime Bookshelf Surround System with an SVS PB-2000 subwoofer. That is $1,850 shipped for 5.1, $2,120 for 7.1

Yes. SVS as the speaker set I linked to is just a 5.0 speaker set. Meaning the Subwoofer(0.1) and separate pair of satelites to have a 7.0 setup

For movies I'd get the Klipsch setup, but without the sub. Get a sub from HSU, Reaction Audio, PSA, Rythmik or SVS.
