Hsu VTF-3HO getting new amp now?

Didn't see this posted yet.

Called up Hsu today to get an update on delivery.

Was told there's a new amp coming now, not just a driver.

No word on when they'll be ready to ship.

New amp, too?

They might have an update in a month.

Interesting...
"Nothing concrete to report yet, but hopefully we will have more to say within the next 4 weeks or so."

... not ready for prime time.

Mistuned turbos, with some gaps in them also:

You have to feel for Dr. Hsu, and his flagship, and whatever is going on over there.
Yeah, I don't get it either... but I hope they pull things together soon from a reputation perspective.
So absolutly every component, driver, amp, enclosure and turbo were faulty?
I used to laugh about the 3HO and the delays but now I'm starting to feel sorry for HSU. This debacle must be bad for business. If they come through with a really awesome flagship sub I think most people will forgive them, but if their supply problems don't get resolved soon... yikes.
Someone once said 'never kick a man when he's down'. I'm disappointed but if JJ said his HO was the best sub ever produced by HSU then I think we have something to look forward to. And, I think that HSU will not rush to market with the re-release until they are good and ready.

I'm willing to give them another shot and allow them the time they need to bring a great product to market because of the good Doctor's track record. We shall see.

At this point Hsu reminds me of the old lady in the commercial that said "Help I've fallen down and can't get up" But I'm sure they will, the question is when and how long will they remain standing?
Why some folks would poke fun and delight in the stumblings of a subwoofer manufacturer is beyond me. The epitome of immaturity IMO.
I find this somewhat interesting...

Yes I saw that post too, definitely a little cryptic. Of course HSU has their reasons for discretion just like everyone else.

My comments are apropos given the history of delays regarding this sub.

Reg - The VTF-3 HO is already on a par with the Axiom EP-500 and SVS PB12-Ultra we have here. The fact that Hsu Research considers it to be performing at a lower level than they thought it should does not, IMO, point towards a company which is flailing.

It points to a company which knows its Flagship is not performing to its potential, as envisioned by the design team. Rather than settle for "as good as the competition", Hsu is, at its own expense, recalling everyone's VTF-3 HO for an upgrade which, to the best of my knowledge, no one even asked for.

Personally, I find that to be worthy of praise, not scorn.

I am looking forward to the "Factory Spec" VTF-3 HO ... It will be fun to find out how much difference the changes will make.

You make valid points..but that still doesn't change the fact that their sub has been pulled/recalled more times than you would expect from a company like Hsu. I'm simply pointing out the obvious truth.

That sure is some pretty harsh phrasing from someone claiming the high ground ... "How long will they remain standing?" ...
I believe they’ve been erect since 1991.... :p

Craig, you must live a fairytale life if you truly believe that comment harsh given the context inwhich it was used.

"How long will they remain standing?" Meaning before another recall given their history of recalls on this sub.

RT, give your history in these Hsu HO threads...making a negative comment whenever possible, when these subs are finally solidified, can we expect just as many positive comments from you?
