I see that the HT/HTM series comes with an HF pad to tone down the treble by 1-2db. Is there any reason to engage this if you are going to run Audyssey and EQ it anyway? Would there be any difference to dropping the highs 1-2db through EQ on the AVR vs the HF pad?
I'm mostly curious because I've seen people put in a toggle switch to engage the jumper but am not sure why when EQ is readily available in most home theaters anyway. It just there if you don't have EQ? Some other advantage?
