HT1000 And power failure

330 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Glenn Refling
Hello, I have my HT1000 hooked up to the monster 7000 power center. Last night while watching a movie the fuse blew on the power center causing the NEC to shut down without proper cool down time. Could this cause any type of damage to the projector? Thanks

It's not a good practice to repeat often, but I think you are safe.

I have had a electrical power outage right during the middle of a 2+ hour movie, and I have not noticed any negative effects.
a couple nights ago i accidently cut the power to the projector for the second time in a couple weeks.

its seems to be running ok, but i wonder if down the line the adverse effects won't rear up- like a decrease in bulb life or something.

just the thought of them mirrors a-flipping so fast and furious and then all of a sudden screaching to a halt gives me the willies when i think about it.
After a year, my HT1000 has been through three or four, unplanned shutdowns due to power failures. So far, knock on wood, everything has been fine. My only advice is not to rush to turn it back on. Let the bulb cool completely before you start it up again.
