At this moment i'm using a Nect VT540 projector together with a sony 725d DVD player, i want to order a HT200DM projector but read about that this projector is best suitable fot ntsc signals, here in holland i'm using only PAL DVD regio2, my question is, Is this projector good enough for my pal DVD's ?

Since the 200DM will only give you 480 vertical resolution in WS DVD mode, even if you fed it a native PAL signal and the projector had some software to rescale...you're essentially converting it to NTSC.

so why not just get a Malta DVD player for @ $300 which supposedly can deliver a better picture from a PAL DVD converted to NTSC output than with most native NTSC discs!

Wha-la...let this DVD player do the PAL->NTSC conversion for you and feed its output to the projector which, as you know, is optimized for 480P signals.

The scaling of this player would be great for 1.66:1 4x3 WS titles too.
