Hi,

I plan to buy a HTIB and use my current set of Paradigm speakers instead of those come with it. My furniture dictates me to get receiver shorter than 5.5". I'm not so sure whether HTIB speaker output is flat or equalized specific for their speakers. I'm looking for a flat one.

This might sounds crazy but I think it might be cheaper than buying a high-end slim one.

I post it here since I presume there would be more people who have good electronic circuit knowledge here than HTIB forum.

Thanks,

-Nick

a flaw in this thinking is that the receiver's amp section is probably designed to drive the HTIB speakers, which may be small and an easy load to drive.

You don't mention which Paradigms you have but they may be a harder load to drive than the included speakers. What is the impedance of the Paradigms?

Also, which HTIB are you considering?
