I have an SL-9000 remote and I think the keys are getting dirty under the front panel. I have tried new batteries etc...but sometimes you really have to press hard on keys that are accessed a lot (such as TV, SAT, etc..) to get them to work.

I'd like to take the remote apart to clean under the keys, but after taking out the one screw on the back cover, I still can't figure out how to get the thing apart.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Often there are hidden 'clips' which hold the remote tightly clamped together. Sometimes twisting the remote, by holding each end firmly in a hand and applying pressure in opposite directions, can safely unclip them and allow the body to come apart. I offer this as general information - I haven't tried this on an SL-9000 and you do this at your own risk!
