Trying to decide between these two items, one is definitely more expensive. But I dont want to go through the hastle of building my own (the hardware part), so a custome computer build I am avoiding.

Boxee box set top

I use a Onkyo receiver fairly high end, I rip blu ray to a 3TB hard drive and stream it via usb. I have good speakers around 2k total (5.1 only for right now), so I want the most out of them. What is a better setup for me, obviously I am new to this.

Thanks

What do you want the PC/Boxee for? An HTPC is great as an integrated source unit for TV, Bluray, streaming music & video, and access to digital music/video/picture libraries. I have a Roku in addition to a very good HTPC. However, Netflix streaming quality through the Roku easily beats the HTPC. For not too much money, I would get that over a Boxee.
