When using the something like the Silicone Dust HD Homerun, is it possible to use the PC as a video processor for things like deinterlacing and reverse telecine?


I knew such a thing existed for 480i, dScaler, don't know about 1080i.

Nice summary. Just not sure if it's accurate after reading a few reviews about the 4550 and one on the 9300 GeForce IGP.


Meaning the 4550 failed a few cadence tests on the HQV disk.

I can't dispute or confirm the accuracy of any HQV tests, but I have the HD 4550 and it seems to be sailing along just fine. I get VA deinterlacing of all interlaced material as well as inverse telecine for film-based material. Overall, I'm very pleased and it's working as advertised.
