I just want something that play full 1080p withouth any problem and use low-energy to run 24/7 for download. I listed a wireless adapter which doesnt rescan/disconnect so the stream is always on the go. I don't want a overpower rig. I will not encode/decode/rip out the htpc. It will only be use to stream videos/music from my server to the TV and download things in background.

I got the personal computer specs here:

- Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80570E8400 - Retail

- XIGMATEK nepartak - s983 92mm HYPRO Bearing CPU Cooler - Retail

- Asus P5N-EM HDMI

- CORSAIR XMS2 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X4096-6400C5C - Retail

- BFG Carte vidéo NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT OC+ (512 Mo)

And my server got a

- Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 Dual Core Processor LGA775 2.5GHZ 800FSB 2MB Retail Box

- CORSAIR XMS2 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X4096-6400C5C - Retail

I detailed all the specs of my rigs. That way if anyone got any idea about switching a cpu or what ever, well i could be possible

FYI, others can't view your newegg wish lists.

Hardware shouldn't have any issue with 1080p playback.

On the HDAV, you do have a DTS-MA and TrueHD capable receiver? If not, its unnecessary and you can use the on-board SPDIF.

You may have issue with the wireless from the server. Not because the wireless can't handle the throughput of a 1080p video, but because wireless can be unpredictable and volatile and you can lose packets causing them to have to be resent, which equals skips and hiccups in a streaming video.
wishlist should work by now
here is my new build, it will be wired. do you think i can run a vm out of this.

thanks, how about it??
How about it for what? It'll most likely do whatever you need it to do HTPC-wise. If you really intend to run a virtual machine on this though, you'd be better off spending a couple extra bucks on the basics.

Not much more money, but much better performance. Literally about double the processing power and RAM for only $70.
sounds pretty great, I will add a 500gb for os and storage, and connect it to my tv, cant wait to play full 1080p bluray
