Is a 50" Rear Screen TV worth paying the extra $$$ in order to put together a good htpc for DVD playback instead of getting say... the RP82?
I already have alot of what i would use but would still need a videocard with great PQ, a soundcard with excellent digital decoding and optical out for my reciever, a smaller micro atx computer case - probably the lian li, and a micro atx powersupply.
It wouldnt be cheap but at the same time it wouldnt break me and if the PQ is really as good as i hear then i know i wouldnt be disapointed. The idea of adding other things like a OTA hd reciver, and a tv capture card intrigues me. And from a extreme gamers pov the ability to play games like UT2003 or better yet Doom3 in HD from my bed with my all 5 of my home theater speakers blasking from all direction would be extremely cool.
