Hi guys,

I recently put a HTPC together with Radeon 8500DV connnecting to my projector via a DVI cable. Everything works fine with DVD playback on it and I was able to do 1:1 mapping at 1366x768 (using Powerstrip) resolution to my HS10.

My question is how do I tweak my HTPC to upconvert the DVD to 720P or 1080i (HD) signal to the PJ. Is this possible or do I need additional hardware like MyHD or something similar?

Thanks a lot...this forum has been so helpful in this journey! :)

Wow...80 something "views" but 1 reply. :)

Sim, at this resolution the PQ is nice but I don't see a whole a lot of difference compare to my interlace standalone DVD feeding via component cable.

At resolution (1366x768) what is this consider? 768P?

Thanks,

Mark

Karnis,

So you're saying with my current resolution I am looking at a better PQ resolution than HD (720P) ?

I guess I still need to tweak the HS10 then cause I don't see that "WOW" factor that everyone is seeing...time for more homework. :)

Thank you.

Mark

Yeah, but the source (DVD) is still only 720x480, there is only so much you can do...
